Question: What's the difference between "Apply Now" and "Become a VA"?
Answer: "Apply Now" is for people who already have VA experience and are ready to work — you go straight into the application process. "Become a VA" is for people who are new to VA work or aren't sure where they'd fit — you start with the free VA Career Path Finder™ to get clarity first.
Question: Do I need experience to work with Hire Heroes?
Answer: No. If you're new to VA work, that's exactly what the "Become a VA" path is for. It starts with self-discovery, not a resume.
Question: Is any of this paid for?
Answer: No. No. The VA Career Path Finder™, the Workshop, and the training are all 100% free. The only thing we can't guarantee is exact timing, since we run the Workshop and training in scheduled batches. You can start the workbook right away, and we'll email you once the next Workshop and training dates are confirmed.
Question: How is Hire Heroes different from other VA agencies or job boards?
Answer: Hire Heroes isn't just a place to browse listings and submit applications, we offer different paths depending on where you are in your VA journey. Already experienced? Apply directly and get matched to opportunities that fit your skills. New to VA work? Start with the free VA Career Path Finder™ to understand where you'd genuinely fit, then move through our Workshop and training to build real readiness. We don't promise everyone a job, and finishing training doesn't guarantee placement. Our goal is helping the right people become genuinely prepared, not just collecting applications.
FAQ — Experienced Applicants ("Apply Now")
Question: What's the pay structure?
Answer: Paid via Wise on the 15th and at the end of each month (US time zone). We'll walk you through specifics once you're matched with a client.
Question: Is this full-time, part-time, or project-based?
Answer: It depends on the client who hires you. You'll follow whatever schedule they provide.
Question: Do you offer HMO or government benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)?
Answer: Not currently. Once you've worked with an active client for 1 year, and again at 2 years, you become eligible for leave credits.
Question: What's the application/interview process like?
Answer: We review your resume and a short video submission to see if you're a match for a client. If so, we'll email you for an initial interview and provide guidance before your interview with the client directly.
Question: How soon could I actually start working with a client?
Answer: That depends on client availability at the time — we can't give a fixed timeline.
Question: What kind of VA work is available?
Answer: General admin support, voice and non-voice customer support, CRM management, social media management, and more.

Question: What is the VA Career Path Finder™?
Answer: A free, 30–45 minute self-discovery workbook. It looks at your existing skills and experience even from non-VA jobs and matches you to the VA path that actually fits, instead of guessing.
Question: What happens after I finish the workbook?
Answer: You'll receive an email inviting you to a live Workshop, not training, just an honest Q&A about what VA work is really like: pay, benefits, day-to-day expectations. It's there to help you decide if this is genuinely something you want to commit time to before going further.
Question: Is the Workshop training?
Answer: No. It's a filter, not a class. The goal is helping you make a real, informed decision, not teaching skills yet.
Question: What if I attend the Workshop and decide it's not for me?
Answer: That's a completely valid outcome, the whole point is helping you find that out before investing time in training, not after.
Question: What happens after the Workshop, if I do want to continue?
Answer: You move into free VA Fundamentals training.
Question: How long does the whole process take, start to finish?
Answer: The workbook only takes 30–45 minutes, and the Workshop runs about 90 minutes. Training takes longer, and since we run it per batch, we can't give an exact timeline — you'll get the specific schedule once you're invited.
Question: Do I need any equipment or specific setup to start?
Answer: For the workbook and Workshop, no special setup needed. Training does require a computer, since it's hands-on and interactive.
